11.2 Merespon makna dan langkah retorika secara akurat, lancar dan berterima dalam esai sangat sederhana yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan terdekat dalam teks berbentuk descriptive.

D.    Tujuan Pembelajaran

Pada akhir proses pembelajaran diharapkan siswa dapat:

1.   Mengidentifikasi berbagai informasi dalam teks descriptive dengan benar.

2.   Menyebutkan ciri kebahasaan teks descriptive dengan benar.

1.   Definisi

Descriptive text is a text that describes the characteristics of a specific thing, for example a specific person, animal, or object.

2.   Langkah retorika

-    Introduction

The part of that gives general information about person (name, job, and age).

-    Description

           The part that describes the person in details (for example how he/she looks like, how tall, how slim/fat, his/her face shape, nose, eyes, forehead, arms, and leg).

           Sometimes a descriptive text has a general comment at the end, for example: He is a good person and we love him very much.

3.      Ciri kebahasaan terkait teks descriptive

-       Simple present tense

-       Particular nouns (example: teacher, house, my rabbit, etc.)

-       Adjectives (example: strong, tall, short, etc.)

-       Adverbials (example: at the tree house, in the forest, etc.)

4.      Fungsi komunikatif

         To describe a particular person, place, or thing.

F.  Metode Pembelajaran: Cooperative Learning (Think Pair Share)

G. Langkah-Langkah Kegiatan

1)   Kegiatan Pendahuluan

·   Salam (Greeting)

·   Guru meminta siswa untuk memimpin membaca do’a.

·   Mengecek kehadiran siswa.

·   Guru memberikan stimulus berupa pertanyaan tentang hal yang dilakukan pada pertemuan sebelumnya.

2)   Kegiatan Inti

a)   Eksplorasi

·      Guru membacakan introduction tentang teks descriptive yang kemudian akan dihubungkan dengan topik materi yang akan dijelaskan.

·      Guru menjelaskan kosa kata, ciri kebahasaan, fungsi komunikatif, dan langkah retorika terkait dengan descriptive text.

·      Guru memberikan beberapa kosa kata yang dapat digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan bagian-bagian tubuh yang harus dipelajari siswa secara berpasangan (activity 1).

b)  Elaborasi

·         Guru membagi siswa menjadi beberapa kelompok berpasangan.

·         Guru memberikan beberapa kosa kata yang harus dicocokkan dengan adjective yang tepat berdasarkan dengan apa yang sudah dipelajari pada activity 1 (activity 2).

·   Guru menugaskan kepada masing-masing kelompok untuk mengidentifikasi langkah retorika, dan informasi yang ada pada teks descriptive (activity 3).

·   Siswa menganalisis informasi dan langkah retorika yang ada pada teks descriptive yang diberikan.

·   Guru menugaskan kembali kepada masing-masing kelompok untuk mengisi beberapa kalimat yang rumpang dengan adjective yang sudah disediakan terkait dengan teks descriptive (activity 4).

c)   Konfirmasi

·   Guru bertanya jawab tentang hal yang belum diketahui siswa.

·   Siswa bersama dengan guru memberikan ulasan tentang kosa kata, ciri kebahasaan, fungsi komunikatif, dan langkah retorika terkait dengan descriptive text.

3)   Kegiatan Penutup

·   Guru menanyakan permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa dalam memahami materi yang telah diberikan.

·   Guru memberikan pekerjaan rumah kepada siswa.

·   Menyampaikan rencana pembelajaran pada pertemuan berikutnya.
